The city of ancient Olynthos is near the village of Myriophyto. Founded in the 7th century B.C. and destroyed in 348 B.C. by the forces of Philip II of Macedon, it was the biggest city of the ancient years in Halkidiki.There is a small museum featuring artifacts recovered from Olynthos and the area is open to public tours during daylight hours.
Porto Koufo is the largest natural harbour in Greece (in depth). The harbour was mentioned by the historian Thucydides. It is an excellent place to swim or simply buy fresh fish or visit the fish taverns.
Porto Carras resort is famous for its Casino and marina where you can see luxury yachts from all over the world. Spa center, shopping, sea sports, golf and tennis are some of the activities you can enjoy there.
Just a short walk from our villa is Neos Marmaras - the most cosmopolitan town in the peninsula. Built amphitheatrically upon three neighbor hills, this picturesque town has an atmosphere of an Aegean island. Plenty of entertainment and dining choices in the area.
Traditional village 6km from Villa-Paradiso. Historical sources talk about Parthenonas from the 10th century. It is built at the foothills of Mount Dragoudeli and offers magnificent views to visitors. The walk in the streets with old-style houses of the village and the taverns will thrill you.
Famous for its white sand and the little rocky island, its a 14km. drive from our Villa. There you will find sun-umbrellas and a beachbar. If you have little kids with you you may prefer the southern part of the beach where the waters are very shallow.
Agios Yiannis Beach
It is a very long beach, 16,5km away from our villa. There are two beach bars on the beach where you may enjoy drinks and food. There is the little church of St. John uphills that you can visit and admire the panoramic view. If you are into exploring you can visit the remains of the ancient fortifications and the little rocky island named "Kastri" that you can access even on foot.

Right next to modern Toroni, lies the ancient city. It was founded by Chalkidian settlers probably during the 8th century B.C.. Due to its strategic location the Persians occupied it during the Greco-Persian Wars. The city includes the Lecythus Fort shown in the photo.
Around 20km. from Villa-Paradiso is Tristinika. This is a a long sandy beach at the end of which there is a small rocky cape. If you want to enjoy a magnificent sunset, having a drink or a light meal we recommend the beach bar "Ethnic". It is an old and famous bar which plays very good ethnic-style music.
